Aging and childbirth may have led you to experience vaginal atrophy, which causes your vaginal tissues to become lax and weakened. If you have vaginal atrophy, you may be at increased risk of urinary tract infections or UTIs. Since UTIs can be quite uncomfortable, we’re pleased to tell you that a treatment called FemiLift can reduce them while improving the overall health and appearance of your vagina. Keep reading to learn more about UTIs and how FemiLift can help.
What is a UTI?
A UTI is an infection in any part of your urinary system: your kidneys, uterus, bladder, and the urethra. It can lead to symptoms such as a strong, constant urge to urinate, a burning sensation while urinating, cloudy or strong-smelling urine, and pelvic pain, particularly in the center of the pelvis and around the area of the pubic bone.
Vaginal atrophy, sexual activity, menopause, and certain types of birth control are all risk factors for a UTI. While you can treat a UTI with antibiotics, you can reduce your chances of developing one by undergoing a procedure like FemiLife.
How FemiLift Works
During a FemiLift treatment, laser energy is emitted by a special laser that creates tiny areas of controlled heating to your vaginal tissues. The damage will prompt healing responses and encourage the production of collagen and elastin, two of the elements that make up healthy vaginal tissue.
FemiLift Consultations Available
The treatment will tone and tighten your vagina, promote natural lubrication, and alleviate itching, burning, and other symptoms. It will also significantly minimize your chances of developing a UTI.
FemiLift is a painless, non-invasive treatment that comes with minimal downtime. While can return to work and most of your daily activities right away, you’ll have to wait 24 hours before exercising and 72 hours before engaging in sexual activity.
Good Candidates for FemiLift
If you’ve noticed unpleasant changes in your vagina after events like childbirth or menopause, you may benefit from FemiLift. FemiLift can help with vaginal looseness, itching and/or dryness. It can also alleviate pain during sex and allow you to enjoy yourself more in the bedroom. In addition, FemiLift may be well worth it if you have frequent UTIs or regulat bladder leakage.
I came to my first appointment with little review on labiaplasty. Dr. Brenman explained the surgery so I fully understood. The entire staff really worked around my work schedule and made sure I was 100% okay with everything. Overall the surgery and recovery went very well. I couldn’t be happier!
